Install the PaperPix Vault

Free, self-hosted. One line on a Mac, one browser wizard on a webhost. ~5 minutes.

Mac (Apple Silicon)

Open Terminal (Applications → Utilities → Terminal), paste, hit Return.

curl -fsSL https://paperpix.io/dam/install-mac.sh | bash
  1. DO NOT add sudo — it'll ask for your password when it needs to
  2. Takes ~5 minutes on a fresh Mac
  3. Opens http://localhost:8080 with your login
  4. Drop photos into ~/Pictures/PaperPixSync — auto-imports

Uninstall: curl -fsSL https://paperpix.io/dam/uninstall-mac.sh | bash

Webhost (Plesk / cPanel / any Apache)

Download this file, FTP into your public web dir, browse to it.

  1. Save the file, rename to install.php
  2. FTP it to your httpdocs/ (or public_html/)
  3. Browse to https://yoursite.com/install.php
  4. 5-step wizard: env check → DB → admin → install → done

Needs: PHP 8.4+, MySQL, ~200 MB free disk. Cron line printed at the end.
